Regarding the Venice beach mow-down, we can't help but wonder why more effective vehicle barriers are not in place at the Boardwalk!

LA Driver Deliberately Hit Pedestrians on the Venice Beach Boardwalk A man in a black car purposely drove onto the Venice Beach boardwalk last night, hitting twelve pedestrians and killing one, before fleeing the scene. Witnesses say the man was driving at about 60 miles per hour when he turned his car on to the pedestrian walkway.
